Technical Resources

Welcome to our technical resource library. Here you'll find the information you need to specify, install, and maintain our cables with confidence. Need something you don't see here? Contact our technical team — we're happy to help.

Product Datasheets & Specifications

Each product page in our catalog includes a downloadable datasheet with complete electrical, mechanical, and environmental specifications. To locate a datasheet:

  1. Browse or search for your product in our catalog.
  2. Open the product page.
  3. Look under the "Documents" or "Downloads" section for the datasheet PDF.

If you need a datasheet for a product that isn't in our online catalog, email us and we'll send it over.

Cable Selection Guides

Not sure which cable is right for your application? Our selection guides can help you narrow it down:

  • Power Cable Selection — choosing conductor size, insulation, and jacket for your voltage and environment
  • Control & Instrumentation Cable — shielding, pair counts, and signal integrity considerations
  • Communication & Data Cable — category ratings, bandwidth, and installation environment
  • Industrial & Flexible Cable — flex life, oil resistance, and abrasion performance

Contact our sales engineers for a personalized recommendation.

Installation Guides

Proper installation is critical to cable performance and longevity. General best practices include:

  • Observing minimum bend radius specifications
  • Respecting maximum pulling tensions
  • Following code-compliant support and spacing requirements
  • Using appropriate connectors, glands, and terminations for the cable type
  • Verifying environmental ratings (temperature, UV, moisture, chemicals) before install

Always follow NEC, CEC, or applicable local codes and the manufacturer-specific installation notes on each product datasheet.

Standards & Certifications

Our cables are manufactured and tested to recognized industry standards, including (as applicable):

  • UL (Underwriters Laboratories)
  • CSA (Canadian Standards Association)
  • RoHS & REACH compliance
  • IEC and IEEE specifications
  • NEC / NFPA 70 ratings
  • MIL-SPEC (on select product lines)

Specific certifications are listed on each product datasheet. Certificates of Compliance are available on request.

Conversion & Reference Tables

  • AWG to metric (mm²) conductor size conversion
  • Voltage drop calculations
  • Current-carrying capacity (ampacity) tables
  • Color code references
  • Temperature rating cross-references

Glossary of Cable Terms

From AWG and ampacity to shielding types and jacket compounds, our glossary explains the terminology you'll see on datasheets and in industry specifications.
